First Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch Meeting of 2017 Date Set

Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch is back in action for 2017!  Join us for our first meeting  on Tuesday, March 21st at 7:30 p.m.  Crime and issues of transient incursions onto properties and into businesses will be the topic, along with serious squatter problems involving vacant homes — some awaiting demolition, under construction, or on the market for sale. Also, some properties that are listed on popular Airbnb have been creating some nuisance issues as well.  The meeting will be held at the Blu Jam Cafe located at 7371 Melrose Ave. (Map it here)

Our area’s local community cop — Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Division Senior Lead Officer Inga Wecker will be there and introduce the  new L.A.P.D. Wilshire Division Commander to our neighborhood.  Also, L.A. City Council member Paul Koretz’ District Director John Darnell along with the City Attorney’s Neighborhood Prosecutor Nooshi Zahiri will be there.  For neighbors with concerns about crime, nuisance, trespassing, and other quality of life issues – this is your chance to be heard by our local officials.  Please join us. Let your neighbors know.
