Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch and the L.A.P.D. Wilshire Station will hold it’s first outdoor “Meeting At Your Corner” coming up on Thursday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m. The location to start off this year’s anti-crime initiative — the corner of Curson Avenue and Waring Avenue. Click here for map location. The outdoor
“meet up” concept allows for neighbors to get together with our law enforcement first responders — specifically the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Station officers and commanders that service our area. This is a great chance to share your safety/crime concerns and nuisance issues.
The meeting’s purpose gives neighbors the opportunity to personally meet our LAPD Wilshire “community cop” senior lead officer Inga Wecker, welcome our new station command staff, along with our new field deputy from Los Angeles City Council member Paul Koretz’ office — Robert Oliver, plus our neighborhood prosecutor from the L.A. city attorney’s office – Nooshi Zahiri.
Our supporter — the Melrose Umbrella Co. will be on hand to provide free refreshments (while supplies last). Grab a free slice of pizza while you can– courtesy of Melrose Action and our neighbor CVS Pharmacy — again while supplies last.
Please share/forward this with your neighbors and area friends. Repost where applicable. Download the flyer here. Sign up to get our crime alerts and newsletter including up-to-date crime information for our area here.
